30 years later Presidential slogans have changed for the worse...

That said, they're no less true today...

When I was a teenager I went to the Reagan Presidential Library for the first time (I've gone a few more since) and the one thing that has stuck with me from that first trip was that Reagan venerated the office and being in the Oval Office so much that he refused to take off his jacket while inside (during the week, he did relax that standard on weekends).

Bill Clinton was president at the time, and Monica Lewinsky was a household name, so that factoid really left an impression on me.

We've gone from a president that serves to a vacation-holic of a President who expects to be served.
